What is the parking situation like?

Parking is located at the back of the building (where you will enter from). We do have neighbours and some of them drive huge trucks. With this in mind, we ask that you park as close as you can to the building or park sideways, along the back of the building so that everyone has room. you are welcome to park in front of unit 18 or 19.

does the studio provide lights or equipment

At this time, the studio does not provide lights or photography equipment.

Bathrooms

Black Cat Studios shares it’s space with a pole & aerial fitness studio. the bathroom is located through the door on the other side of the unit. when you go through the door separating the space, you will see another door on the far side of the space. the bathroom is just on the left side.

accessing the studio

once you’ve booked online, and your date arrives, you will go to the back of the studio to enter. There is a lockbox on the door with the key to enter (sometimes the door can stick a bit and will require a good pull). There will not be an attendant on site, as the space is yours but we do have cameras inside the studio for safety and security purposes.

once inside, you are allowed to move the furniture around, all we ask is that it is returned to its original position at the end of your session. your studio time does include load in and load out, so please be mindful of timing as there may be others booked after you.

as stated above, the bathroom is on the other side of the door, across the fitness studio, and is available for use. we do ask however, that unless you’re using the bathroom, please refrain from being on their side as they are another business and we always aim to respect one anothers spaces.

when you’re finished, we ask that the lights be turned off, the door locked, and the key returned to the lockbox. your code will no longer be active once the session is over.

The walls in the space

if you have been to the studio prior, you will have noticed the walls on wheels that separate the spaces. while they are mobile, we do ask that those are not moved (they are sturdy but we do not want anyone taking the risk). they are a part of each set and we work hard to provide new and creative sets, and the last thing we want are the walls to be damaged in any way.
